PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wipe off the nozzle surface through a simple structure by providing an ink suction sheet and a winding means therefor located below a waste ink discharging means and arranging the ink suction sheet to touch a part of nozzle constantly during purge operation. SOLUTION: An ink tank 4 and a nozzle plate 11 are advanced in the direction of a suction purge means 30 by a moving means. Upon adhesion of the nozzle plate 11 to the adhesion face 35a of an elastic body 35, a valve section 35c located on the extension of a protrusion 35b on elastic body can close an ink discharge hole 32 provided in the bottom of an ink case 31. Lower part of the nozzle plate 11 touches an ink suction sheet 53 before the nozzle plate 11 advances to touch the suction purge means 30. When the nozzle plate 11 advances farther to touch the suction purge means 30, the pulley 54 of a suction ink sheet winding means 50 is pushed by the nozzle plate 11 and moved to the right.
