PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent for the treatment of muscular cramp (cramp in the calf) exhibiting excellent effectiveness for the prevention and treatment of muscular cramp by making the agent include an aminoalkoxybibenzyl compound as an active component. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I R1 is H, a halogen or the like; R2 is H, a 1-5C alkoxy or the like; R3 is H, hydroxyl or the like; R4 is a group of formula N(R5)(R6 (R5 and R6 are each H or a 1-8C alkyl) or formula II [A is a (substituted) 3-5C alkylene; (m) is 0-5}, e.g. (±)-1- o-[2-(m-methoxyphenyl) ethyl]phenoxy}-3-(dimethylamino)-2-propyl hydrogen succinate hydrochloride of formula III (salpogrelate hydrochloride) is used as an active component. The daily administration rate of the agent for adult is preferably 0.5-50 mg/kg in terms of the active component in the case of oral administration.
