PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an opening/closing plate stopped in the position where it opens a ball discharge port with the use of pachinko balls stored in a ball tray, and release the plate from the stop position automatically. SOLUTION: The ball discharger for use in a pachinko machine ball tray 7 has a ball discharge port 11 cut in a bottom wall 10 of a tray part 8 in which pachinko balls are stored, and an opening/closing plate 14 movably mounted on a support frame 15 fixed to the underside of the bottom wall 20 and normally urged by an urging member 16 in a direction to close the ball discharge port 11, such that the displacement of the opening/closing plate 14 to the position where it opens the ball discharge port 11 allows pachinko balls in the tray part 8 to be ejected out. The bottom wall 10 of the tray part 8 in which the ball discharge port 11 is made is further formed with a fall hole 12 into which pachinko balls fall, and the tray part 8 is provided on its underside with an engagement part 13. The opening/closing plate 14 is provided with a stop part 22 adapted to fit to the engagement part 13 when the opening/closing plate 14 is weighed by pachinko balls in the fall hole 12 into the inclined position where it opens the ball discharge port 11. When released from the ball-weighed state, the stop part 22 disengaged to let the opening/closing plate 14 return automatically to the position where it closes the ball discharge port 11.
