PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of setting manual input for construction and to facilitate construction by controlling the numbers of two single disks controlling a mirror ring with a peculiar disk number. SOLUTION: CPU 11 operates with the control of FW(Firm Ware) 15, and reading/writing operation of single body disks 1A, 1B, mA and mB connected through a disk interface part 14, a first disk interface signal 31 and a second disk interface signal 28 in a disk installation mechanism 20 is executed. A mirror disk control part 10 fixedly manages the number of the two disks controlling a mirror ring. A mirror disk 1 controlling the mirror ring is generated by the combination of the single body disks 1A and 1B accessed by disk number bestowal mechanisms 1a and 1b. A mirror disk (m) controlling the mirror ring is generated by the combination of the single body disks mA and mB accessed by disk number bestowal mechanisms ma and mb.
