PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet rotating machine whose efficiency has been improved at a high speed. SOLUTION: This machine comprises a stator winding 5, a slot part 43 storing the stator winding 5, a stator 2 which includes a stator iron core 7 having a stator tooth part 41 and a stator yoke part 42 forming a magnetic circuit, and a rotor 3 consisting of permanent magnets 6 and a slitted reluctance type magnetic circuit. The magnetic circuit of the permanent magnets 6 and the magnetic circuit of a reluctance with a barrier are disposed so as to form an independent closed circuit respectively.
