摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic hydroxide compound having a high conversion coefficient and selectivity in utilizing an oxidation activity of a catalyst superior to an aromatic hydrocarbon compound by directly producing hydrogen peroxide from oxygen and hydrogen by using a binary catalyst. SOLUTION: By this method, an aromatic hydroxide compound is produced by oxidizing an aromatic hydrocarbon compound. In the method, the oxidation reaction uses a binary system heterogeneous catalyst comprising a zeolite catalyst including a transition metal of group 8B with an alkylanthraquinone derivative and a zeolite catalyst containing a transition metal having a tetrahedral coordination geometry, and hydrogen and oxygen are flowed into the system at from -10 deg.C to 60 deg.C under a usual pressure.
