PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground cable receiving metal fitting whose auxiliary fitting can be connected to its main fitting very easily but, once it is connected, can not be disconnected or turned easily. SOLUTION: An underground cable receiving metal fitting is composed of a main fitting 3 attached approximately horizontally to the inside of a tunnel formed underground, an auxiliary fitting 4 connected to the tip of the main fitting 3 and a connecting member 5 with which the auxiliary fitting 4 is connected to the main fitting 3. Arm tabs 52 are provided on the left and right sides of the connecting member 5. Retainers 57 which are composed of cut parts 55 formed on the upper surfaces of the arm tabs 52 and inclined planes 56 formed on the tip parts of the arm tabs 52 and are formed so as to be oriented in directions slantly upward from the longitudinal directions of the arm tabs 52 are provided on the tip parts of the arm tabs 52. The retainers 57 are attached to the inside of the support member 31 of the main fitting 3 to connect the auxiliary fitting 4 to the main fitting 3 firmly.
