STRUCTURE FOR CONNECTION BETWEEN MANHOLE AND PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give flexibility corresponding to relative position change between a manhole and a ribbed pipe and ensure water stop by connecting the manhole and the ribbed pipe via a flexible joint. SOLUTION: A drilled hole 20 is provided to allow connection between a manhole 3 and a pipe 1 provided with a rib 2 on the outer periphery via an elastic flexible joint 16A. The end of the pipe 1 is inserted in the drilled hole 20. The flexible joint has a fixing part 5 mounted in the manhole, a cylindrical part 6 in which the pipe is inserted and a connection part 18 for connecting the fixing part and the cylindrical part. A connection structure includes a water stop material layer 8 provided between the inner periphery of the cylindrical part and the outer periphery of the pipe and a fastening member 7 mounted on the outer periphery of the cylindrical part. The fastening member is used to fasten the cylindrical part and the water stop material layer and thus thrust the water stop material layer against the rib on the outer periphery of the pipe, causing water stop between the cylindrical part and the outer periphery of the pipe.
