<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate the uneasiness of inhabitants in the neighborhood of a tunnel of highway when the tunnel is constructed by reducing the diffusion of polluted air in the tunnel surely. SOLUTION: A soil layer 16 of a nearly equal width to the width W of a tunnel 12 is installed between the adjoining two opening parts 14 of the tunnel 12 in the extension direction of the tunnel 12. Polluted air in the tunnel is sucked from a suction port 22 by driving a fan 24, is supplies to a middle place in the extension direction of supply routes 20 through an opening part, is divided into two from the middle place toward both ends, and flows in the supply routes 20 toward each end part. When the polluted air flows, the air is discharged from an opening outside the supply routes 20 to be dispersed to the whole area of the soil layer 16. The dispersed polluted air moves from under the soil layer 16 upward, and the cleaned air is released from the surface of the soil layer 16 into the air.</p> |
