PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform distance calculation with high reliability by improving the detection accuracy of parallax vector. SOLUTION: A three dimensional image processor is provided with a first corresponding point detector 8 obtaining the first parallax vector of corresponding pixel based on the stereo image signal concerning the object by using a specific correlation, filters 12 and 14 processing the stereo image signal for noise elimination, a second corresponding point detector 18 obtaining the second parallax vector of corresponding pixel, based on the stereo image signal having passed this filter by using a given correlation function, a parallax vector comparator 16 selectively outputting one of parallax vectors, based on the comparison result of the first and the second parallax vectors obtained by the both corresponding point detectors and a distance calculator 10 calculating the distance to the object, based on the parallax vector output from the comparator.
