PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that holds one or more sheet feed units just under an image forming device body and delivers recording piper sheets to the device body via a feed path even if any type of unit is disposed under the sheet feed units. SOLUTION: The image forming system comprises an image forming device body, just under which one or more sheet feed units 3A and 3B are placed and a further lower sheet processing unit is installed. Each of the sheet feed units 3A and 3B receives a removable sheet feed cassette 30A, 30B. Two communication paths 72 and 73 are defined between the sheet processing unit and the image forming device body, either of which paths acts also as a feed path on the corresponding side of the sheet feed cassettes 30A and 30B.
