The piezoelectric actuator (1) is encapsulated within a pre-tensioning device (2,3,4), which has a pressure spring (4) for pre-tensioning the piezoelectric actuator in opposition to its expansion direction. The pre-tensioning device may have 2 interfitting hollow containers (2,3), between which the actuator is enclosed, which are pressed apart from one another by the pressure spring.
