PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely meter a fluid flow rate. SOLUTION: Low pressure fuel supplied from a feed pump P1 is sucked in a pressure chamber 4a through a solenoid valve 6, low pressure flow channels 17, 18, 19, etc., in a variable discharge high pressure pump P. Fuel sucked in the pressure chamber 4a is compressed in accordance with reciprocal motion of a plunger 3a and delivered to a common rail. One end part (left end in the drawing) of the solenoid valve 6 is made a fluid suction part by providing a communicating channel 71 on a valve body 63, and channels 66, 67 to connect the communicating channel 71 and an outer periphery of the valve body to each other are provided and these channels 66, 67 are made fluid discharge parts. In this case, it is possible to avoid nonconformity that sliding resistance between the valve body 63 and a valve case 6c becomes large as fuel pressure works in the diametrical direction of the valve body 63 and to favourably maintain balance of force working on the valve body 63. |
