PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the concentration of a cyclic olefin in a cyclic alcohol can be reduced without reducing the yield of the cyclic alcohol. SOLUTION: This method is to obtained a cyclic alcohol produced by a catalytic hydrating reaction of a cyclic olefin such as cyclohexene in the coexistence of an oil phase of the cyclic olefin, an aqueous phase and a catalyst of a crystalline metallosilicate containing at least one kind of metal selected from among aluminum, boron, gallium, titanium, chromium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, vanadium and copper by using the crystalline metallosilicate as the catalyst from the oil phase according to the distillation and separation using a distillation column. A basic substance such as amines are added to the oil phase after the catalytic hydrating reaction before or at the time of the distillation. |
