PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biosensor, by which a substrate concentration is electrochemically determined on the basis of an enzyme reaction concerning a dehydrogenase and a coenzyme precisely and easily in a short time, and which is easily manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: This biosensor comprises insulating support bodies 1, electrode systems made of conductive material on the support bodies 1, and an absorbing carrier 5 with a reaction reagent including at least both a dehydrogenase and a coenzyme, and an electronic mediator contained in its electrode reaction part. In this biosensor, the absorbing carrier 5 serves as a reaction layer of both an enzyme reaction between a sample and the reaction reagent and an electrode reaction between the electronic mediator and surface-s of the electrode systems. |
