PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spout for allowing a user to easily discharge or stop water in front of him for supplying water from the tap of a faucet simply by previously putting the faucet in a water discharging condition. SOLUTION: A spout 6 is provided at the end 5a of a communication pipe 5 communicating with a water supply pipe 2 of a faucet 1 and extending to a lateral direction. An operating tool is rotationally moved around an axial center P in a vertical direction at a right angle to a lateral direction to allow switch between a flow passage 9 for direct water release and a flow passage 10 for water spray formed around the flow passage. Further, the operating tool is rotationally moved around the axial center R in the lateral direction in the water discharged condition of the faucet for water discharging or stopping operation.
