PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain cock with a drain valve capable of reducing the loss of a water stream flowing from a water pipe to the lower mainbody of the drain cock and eliminating the possibility of damage during transportation. SOLUTION: A valve chest 32 is provided between a water pipe connection 30 and a lower mainbody 12 and a water stop valve 34 is arranged in the valve chest, the water stop valve having a slender end 34a protruded to the center of the lower mainbody, the slender end being guided by a guide 36 located between the seat 32a of the valve chest and a piston 16 so as to move the water stop valve to a substantially horizontal direction. The drain valve 40 has a resin drain valve ball support 42 with a male screw formed on the outer face and a drain valve ball supporting mount 46 formed in one unit with the lower mainbody, the drain valve ball support being screwed in the drain valve ball supporting mount.
