PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the best focusing position by combining a focusing actuator for adjusting the focal position of an imaging optical system concerning an image detector with a control system actuating the focus actuator based on image data from image acquired substance in plural areas. SOLUTION: A system control unit 156 controls the entire actuation of a scanner 100. Namely, the focusing actuator 158 for moving a focusing lens 160 in an optical imaging system 124 is actuated by the control unit 156. The position of the lens 160 is appropriately adjusted by the actuator 158, whereby the image of a scanning line is formed on three pixel element array 135 of the image detector 134. Furthermore, the control unit 156 receives the image data generated by the detector 134 and controls a carriage driving device 113. |
