PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to absorb the difference of the quantity of incident light generated by the distribution of an optical system on the side of a light- receiving element. SOLUTION: A plurality of photodetectors 11 and 12 are arranged and the light, which is made incident through an optical system, is photoelectrically converted by the plurality of photodetectors 11 and 12 in this solid-state image pickup element. At this point, the area of each light receiving area of plurality of photodetectors 11 and 12 is set in the size with which the difference in the quantity of light corresponding to the position of arrangement of the photodetectors, generated when uniform light quantity is made incident on the optical system, is cancelled each other.
