PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission control device with simplified construction capable of realizing common use of control means and prevention of double engagement by a small number of part items. SOLUTION: When LR/B2 is engaged with at least either one of 2-5/B and CD/C3, a double engagement is produced. A fail-safe valve 20 is pressed to the left side when 2-5/B pressure, namely the pressure of a connecting path 36 or OD/C pressure, namely the pressure of a connecting path 41 becomes high, and is stopped at a position shown in figure (B). Simultaneously with this, a connecting path 38 and a drain path 43 are connected, and thus LR/B2 is released. Thus a double connection of LB/B2 with 2-5/B1 or OD/C3 is prevented. Further, since the fail-safe valve 20 is switched, output pressure of a duty solenoid valve 11 is applied to LR/B2 or D/C4. Thus, LR/B2 and D/C4 can use the duty solenoid valve 11 in common.
