PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing artificial snow wherein there is facilitated manufacture of snow over one day 24 hours and over one wear 365 days by providing a snow formation environment where temperature, moisture and/or other environmental factors are controlled. SOLUTION: The present apparatus includes an environment adapted such that temperature, moisture and/or other environmental conditions are controlled, and at least one snow shooting gun 10 having at least a nozzle 9 disposed in or adjacent to the environment. Further, the present method includes a process where it makes an environment in a state preferably controlled to manufacture artificial snow, and at least a process of installing the snow shooting gun 10 where the nozzle 9 is disposed substantially in the foregoing environment or next to the same.
