PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gelatinous hairdressing material having good spread to and compatibility with hair, excellent hairdressing properties in use, set holding power of finished hair and slight flaking. SOLUTION: This gelatinous hair hairdressing material contains (A) 1-10 wt.% of a polyvinylpyrrolidone, (B) 0.05-3 wt.% of a carboxyvinyl polymer and/or an alkyl modified carboxyvinyl polymer and (C) 0.01-3 wt.% of a hydroxypropyl guar gum.
