PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply, efficiently and dividedly produce a heavy granulated blast furnace slag or a light granulated blast furnace slag, as necessary, when producing the granulated blast furnace slag. SOLUTION: A rotatable impeller 3 is installed just under an outlet of a molten slag spout 1 where a molten slag 2 flows and a blow nozzle 6 for jetting water in the same direction as the flow of the molten slag 2 is further provided under the impeller 3 in an apparatus for jetting pressurized water on the molten slag 2 discharged from a blast furnace and continuously producing a granulated blast furnace slag. The impeller 3 can be moved between a position just under the outlet of the molten slag spout 1 and a standby position. When the granulated blast furnace slag for a fine aggregate for a concrete is produced, the impeller 3 is moved to the position just under the outlet from the molten slag spout 1 to regulate the peripheral speed of the impeller 3 when the molten slag 2 is dropped onto the impeller 3 to 3-2,000 m/s. When the granulated blast furnace slag for a cement is produced, the impeller 3 is evacuated to the standby position to thereby dividedly produce the granulated blast furnace slag for the fine aggregate for the concrete and the granulated blast furnace slag for the cement.
