PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fully submerged type ultrasonic flaw detection/ measurement device capable of stable flaw detection or measurement with small consumption of water. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic flaw detection/measurement device flaw-detects or measures an inspected body (h) by transmitting an ultrasonic wave from its probe 1 to the inspected body (h). This ultrasonic flaw detection/measurement device has a medium chamber which accommodates a liquid medium (n), and the probe 1 in which at least a transmission part (a) is submerged in the medium (n). At least a part of the medium chamber facing to the inspected body (h) is composed of a membrane 22, while a medium (m) is supplied a minute gap between the membrane 22 and the inspected body (h). Thereby, an ultrasonic wave from the probe 1 is transmitted to the inspected body (h) through the medium (n) within the medium chamber, the membrane 22, and the interposed medium (m) intervened in the minute gap. |
