PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data gathering control method, a data gathering controller and the record medium capable of gathering data by the form of the data required by a user, reducing the loads of a user program and easily reutilizing the gathered data. SOLUTION: An action for indicating the gathering processing of the data from a monitoring object 20 is set in a data setting part 110 relating to a trigger for indicating the timing of gathering the data from the monitoring object 20 and stored in a gathering setting data storage part 120. Setting data stored in the gathering setting data storage part 120 are referred to, the trigger is generated corresponding to the state of the monitoring object 20 from a timing generation processing part 170 and a flow control part 150 automatically executes the action corresponding to the trigger generation. Thus, the data of the monitoring object 20 are gathered by a data gathering part 180 and stored in a user data base 400.
