The invention relates to a method for printing fibrous textile materials using the ink jet technique. The method is characterised in that said fibrous materials are pre-treated with a pigment colour binder. After being pre-treated in this way, the fibrous materials are printed with an aqueous ink containing at least one pigment colour.
