PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration and conversion of data to the minimum by providing a video telephone equipment generating digital image and the speech signal of a patient, an electronic image assembly, a stethoscope assembly, etc., combined with the video telephone equipment. SOLUTION: A patient station 12 is provided with a camera 24 picking up the image of the patient and the video telephone equipment 18 combined with a standard telephone set 26 and a video display 28. A processor 20 is provided to allow a stethoscope processing circuit 30 incorporated therein to convert the physiological sound of the patient picked up by a stethoscope 22 to compressed digital data to transmit to a health control station through a public telephone network 14. In addition, the station 12 is provided with detecting means such as a blood pressure device 62, a thermometer 64, scales 66, a finger sensor 68 and digital the detecting signals of them to similarly transmit to the health managing station through the network 14 by the set 18.
