PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a driver circuit which is reduced in power consumption and capable of stabilizing the amplitude of an AMI signal sent to a transmission line. SOLUTION: Let there is no opportunity ofϕ1,ϕ2 both reaching '1', then whenϕ1=1 andϕ2=0, switches 20, 21 are closed and switches 24, 25 are open to apply a negative feedback to an amplifier 1, a positive input terminal 31 of a transformer 30 connects to an imaginary ground point and a current is supplied to a primary side of the transformer via an NMOS 7 and the switch 21 to transmit a positive pulse of an AMI signal to a transmission line. Whenϕ1=0 andϕ2=1, the switches 24, 25 are closed and the switches 20, 21 are open to apply a negative feedback to the amplifier 1, a negative input terminal 32 of the transformer 30 connects to the imaginary ground point and a current is supplied to the primary side of the transformer via the NMOS 7 and the switch 25 to transmit a negative pulse of the AMI signal to the transmission line. Whenϕ1=0 andϕ2=0, all the switches are open to disconnect the transformer from the circuit.
