<p>Cpds. of general formula (I), their salts, quat. ammonium cpds. and medicaments contng. them. R1,2,3 = H, Cl, OH, alkoxy, NO2 R4 = H, Me, Et R5 = H, alkyl R6 = H, Me R7 = H, OH R8 = H, alkyl, alkoxy, OH, halogen R9 = OH, is not 2C alkyl, F. For improving cardiac function. A mixt. of 3-methoxyacetophenone (29.3 g.), paraformaldehyde (7.2 g.), 4-hydroxynorephedrine. HCl (30.6 g.) and i-PrOH (150 ml) is refluxed for 4 hrs. Solvent is removed and the residue treated with MeCOEt (150 ml) to give beta-(1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-hydroxypropyl-2-amino)-3-methoxypropi- ophenone. HCl (12.5 g.), m.p. 172-4 deg. (EtOH).</p> |
