<p>PURPOSE:To make a ball driving feeling sufficiently light without reducing a carry by setting the mass of a golf ball having dimples on the surface within a specified range and making the total sum of the dimple areas larger than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A golf ball has 41.0-44.5g of the mass and 42.70+ or -0.03mm of the diameter. The spherical surface 1 is provided with 336 dimples 2 in the octahedral arrangement. Also, all dimples 2 have the same shape and an arcuate section. The rate of the total sum of the dimple areas to the surface area of a spherical body having no dimples 2 (imaginary golf ball), i.e., the rate of occupying the surface area is set to 70% or more.</p> |
