PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To validly leave a leaving station when an automatic ticket examination machine at an unmanned station fails. SOLUTION: In the automatic ticket examination machine to perform am arithmetic processing of leaving based on data recorded on a ticket fed in a main body of the automatic ticket examination machine, a storage means to store information on failure of the main body of an automatic ticket examination machine installed at other station except the installing station of the main body of the automatic ticket examination machine and a control means to permit the leaving when the ticket on which the station regarding the stored information on the failure is defined as an entering station is fed and when the installing station of the main body of the automatic ticket examination machine is included in a boarding section of the ticket irrespective of presence/ absense of entrance data on the entering station are provided.
