<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive millimeter-wave image formation apparatus which provides an instantaneous azimuth visual field over the entire angles of 360 deg. of a scene. SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 10, a spherical lens 12 is used, and a series of millimeter-wave direct detecting receivers which form a ring 16 around the lens 12 and which are situated on the focal plane of the lens 12 are used. The receivers are situated on a plurality of continuous sensor cards 14, and the respective cards 14 contain a plurality of receivers. The receivers demarcate a one-dimensional focal plane array, and they provide the slice of an instantaneous visual field extending over the angle of 360 deg.. A processing circuit 32 which multiplex-transmits signals from the receivers and which contains an interface is situated on a ring 34 at the outside of the ring 16. An actuator 42 is installed, the two rings 16, 34 are moved precisioning together, only by a set angleΘaround a set reference direction 46 of the lens 12, and they are scanned at an angle of elevation extending over an angle of±Θaround a plane perpendicular to the reference direction 46.</p> |
