摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the transfer time without increase of transfer amount of charges to realize pulse power of high repetitive frequency by dividing an LC circuit of each stage consisting of a saturable reactor and a capacitor into parallel circuit of a plurality of saturable reactors and a plurality of capacitors. SOLUTION: A magnetic pulse compressing circuit divides an LC circuit of each stage consisting of capacitors 1 to 4 and saturable reactors 5 to 8 to the parallel circuit of a plurality of saturable reactors 15 to 18 and a plurality of capacitors 11 to 14 to charge the charges from a high voltage power supply HV. When the main switch SW turns on, current pulses i11 to i14 flow into each loop. Thereby, charges of capacitors 1 to 4 are transferred to the capacitors 11 to 14. Next, current pulses i21 to i24 flow, voltage of peaking capacitor Cp reaches the main discharge start voltage and discharge starts across the main electrodes to generate a laser beam. Thereafter, the condition before starting the charge appears again and thereby the charge transfer period is shortened.
