PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily create a composited image of an actually photographed image and a CG image without feeling of incompatibility even without special experience. SOLUTION: The image compositing apparatus is provided with an operation part 20 to estimate visual point position information from the actually photographed image, an operation part 24 to estimate three-dimensional space information of the actually photographed image from the estimated visual point position information, an operation part 26 to estimate the size of an object from a coordinate value of the vertex of the object which is photographed on the actually photographed image and actual height of the vertex based on the three-dimensional space information, an operation part 28 to create a unit texture image to be a reference, a generating part 30 to generate the CG image for compositing from the estimated size of the object and the unit texture image, an operation part 22 to estimate light source position information from the actually photographed image and a compositing part 32 to perform perspective projection transformation for the generated CG image, to perform shade processing for the CG image based on the light source position information and to composite the CG image with the actually photographed image.
