INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD USED FOR DIGITAL BROADCAST, DIGITAL BROADCAST TRANSMITTER, DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVER AND DIGITAL BROADCAST TRANSMISSION RECEPTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress interrupt of a broadcast service caused at a receiver side of digital broadcast when a sudden transmission channel error or of a selective reception disable state occurs by selectively acquiring main information, when the main information is available or sub information in place of the main information when the main information is not available. SOLUTION: Main/sub information generating sections 9, 11 classify information of a broadcast object into main information and sub information, which are in substitutal relations to each other and encode the classified main and sub information and output them. A multiplexer section 13 receiving the encoded main/sub information sets multiplexes the main and sub information encoded by the main and sub information generating sections 9, 11 in a state of a time difference between them, so that the sub information takes temporal precedence over the main information and a modulation section 15 modulates the multiplexed information including the main and sub information multiplexed by the multiplexer section 13 by using a proper modulation system and transmits the modulated information via a transmission antenna 17.
