摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method by which even general users can easily adjust a white point of a monitor without requiring equipment and a material such as a colorimeter. SOLUTION: Each color chart of RGB is displayed (step 201), and input values are adjusted so that the whole of each color chart brightness of RGB may look equally by visual observation (step 202). Each input value (Rx, Gx, Bx) of RGB is stored after adjustment (step 203). A gamma valueγof each stored input value (Rx, Gx, Bx) of RGB and a monitor, and luminance ratiosα,βof each RGB of the monitor are calculated (step 207) from an xy chromaticity xi, yi (step 204, step 205) of each RGB luminophor of the monitor by using a relational expression (step 206) showing a relation between the luminance and the brightness of a color differing in color tone. White point chromaticities xw, yw of the monitor are calculated from xy-luminance ratiosα,βof RGB brightness and each RGB luminophor of the monitor (step 208).
