PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage medium provided with an improved security check means for checking whether or not it is the one produced by a person with a proper right. SOLUTION: This information storage medium 10 is used by being mounted to a device provided with a CPU. The information storage medium 10 records an application program 16c and a security code 16b readably by the device provided with the CPU. The device provided with the CPU records the security code to be a comparison standard beforehand and security is checked by comparing the security code read from the information storage medium 10 with the security code of the comparison standard recorded in the device provided with the CPU. In the security code 16b, a program to be executed after checking the security is provided.
