摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of production of an underwater optical fiber cable for an underwater moving body. SOLUTION: The underwater optical fiber cable formed with an external coating layer 4 of plastic on the circumference of an optical fiber 1 has an optical fiber housing space for housing the optical fiber 1 on the inner side of this external coating layer 4 and a water introducing space 5 communicating in parallel with this optical fiber housing space and has plural openings 6 in the external coating layer 4 on the side where this water introducing space 5 is formed.
