PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an inspection object more speedily with a higher sensitivity, related to immunochromatography by setting between a part of a water-absorptive base where a sample to be inspected is dropped and a stationary phase, a marker phase in which a second marker body is held in a manner which eliminable through contact with the water. SOLUTION: The mixture of a liquid containing a sample to be inspected, a liquid containing a first marker body and a liquid containing an intervening substance for mediating a bond between a third and a fourth immunochemical components is dropped and developed from one end of a water-absorptive base. As a result, the complex moves on the water-absorptive base. When the liquids reach a marker phase, a second marker body held at the marker phase is desorbed from the marker phase through contacting with the water. Moreover, the fourth immunochemical component in the second marker body bonds through the intervening substance with the third immunochemical component in the first marker body and moves on the water- absorptive base. The formed immune complex bonds with a first immunochemical component immobilized to a stationary phase and is caught on the stationary phase. Marker substances constituting the first, second marker bodies are collected, bonded on the stationary phase, so that a detection signal is amplified.
