PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable prevention of scattered pieces of a cut-off fuse from being deposited on a metallic wiring layer having a fixed potential to obtain a reliable required output of a circuit. SOLUTION: For the purpose of preventing water or movable ions from penetrating into a semiconductor device through an intended cut-off part 6a of a fuse 6, an electrically floatable metallic wiring layer 12 is provided between a metallic wiring layer 11 having a fixed potential and the fuse 6. For this reason, when the cut-off part 6a of the fuse 6 is cut off by laser blow, the cut-off part 6b is scattered and deposited on the wiring layer 12, thus suppressing deposition of the scattered fuse on the wiring layer 11. As a result, erroneous operation of a circuit having the fuse 6 caused by the potential kept constant can be prevented. As a result, such a disadvantageous phenomenon can be avoided that the circuit cannot produce its intended output.
