PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a manhole and moreover laying of a snake or dispensing with the same in laying an electric power cable. SOLUTION: A stranding pitch P of strands which construct one of segment conductors 2A of a dividedly formed conductor 2 of a CV cable 1 is made larger than a stranding pitch P of strands which construct other four segment conductors 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E. When the dividedly formed conductor 2 is supplied with an electric current it is heated and thermally expanded. However, the stranding pitch P of the strands which construct the one of segment conductors 2A is larger than the stranding pitch P of the strands which construct the other segment conductors 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E. An expanding condition caused by the thermal expansion is therefore made different between the one of segment conductors 2A and the other four segment conductors 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E. Consequently, the dividedly formed conductor 2 is spirally twisted. Accordingly, a thermal expansion/contraction motion of the CV cable 1 can be made small.
