Device comprises a portable computer unit (1) with a keyboard (2) for entry of indexed events relating to animal treatment or breeding. A simple microprocessor is used to compute the data of subsequent treatments following recording of an event according to treatment and breeding protocols and printer for output of operation data recorded or computed following each event recording. The recorded data is stored in a monitoring file according to linear planning and a modem is used to periodically transfer acquired data to a remote computer for evaluation.
