PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably apply a releasing agent by setting the replenishing timing of the releasing agent supplied to a releasing agent holding member for every fixing process performed once or more times and setting the time for supplying it once within the time required for image forming process performed once. SOLUTION: In an oil coating device 100; silicone oil being the releasing agent is supplied to an oil dripping pipe 101 by an oil supply pump. The oil is dropped to a cleaning felt 102 functioning as the releasing agent holding member or to a fixing roller 10a, made uniform by a regulating blade 103 being a releasing agent regulating member and uniformly applied to the roller 10a. The replenishing timing of the oil supplied to the felt 102 is set for every fixing process performed once or more times and the time for supplying it once is set within the time required for the image forming process performed once. Thus, the oil is stably applied. |
