PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make graspable suitably a progress situation related to recording operation during downloading by extracting the required data from the received data, supplying them to a storage device, fetching an advance positional information related to a recording data part while executing recording processing and generating the progress information data of recording operation in the storage device based on the advance positional information. SOLUTION: An IRD: 12 sends a command to the storage devices 13A, 13B, and executes a prescribed operation, or receives a required response. Communication processing between the IRD: 12 and the storage devices 13A, 13B uses an IEEE 1394 system AV/C command. At a download start time, the IRD: 12 lists up download objective equipments to display them on a monitor device 14 and to make a user select them. Further, the IRD: 12 performs check processing for executing the download, and checks recording residual capacity for the selected contents to display a required operation request on the monitor device 14. |
