<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital projection system which can utilize the existing equipment of a theater as much as possible. SOLUTION: This system 200 is a digital movie projection system to project a picture on a display screen, and has a lamp console 102 and a projector 202. The projector 202 receives digital picture data, and processes the digital picture data, and a picture data stream made compatible with a space light modulator selected is prepared, and a light beam from the lamp console 102 is modulated by using picture data processed. Modulated light is focused on a display screen by a primary projection lens 204 and a lens adapter attached at a freely rotatable turret 206. The need of an individual lens adapter is eliminated by using an anamorphic projection lens instead.</p> |
