CONNECTOR AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector and its manufacturing method lowering costs and heightening holding strength of a connector body by a holding member. SOLUTION: Plural contacts 10 are insert-molded in the a central part 2 of an approximately U-shaped connector body 1. Parts of respective holding members 20, 20 are inserted into both end sides of the central part 2. Joining parts 21 of the holding members 20 are soldered to a pattern forming surface of a printed board. Curved parts 22 curved in the direction getting away from the printed board are provided to the holding members 20. Therefore, soldering fillets F formed in both base end parts of the curved parts 22 are increased when the joining parts 21 are soldered, which heightens the joining strength of the holding members 20 to the printed board. Thus, holding strength of the connector body 1 by the holding members 20 can be improved.
