PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed color temperature at all times, even when the state of a screen is changed in a display device using a color CRT. SOLUTION: The setting condition of control signals, capable of obtaining a chromaticity coordinate value (x, y) corresponding to the fixed color temperature obtained by measuring the screen of a specified brightness by a chromaticity sensor, is stored in a CPU 3. When the setting condition for contrast and/or brightness is changed, a digital contrast circuit 5 and a digital brightness circuit 6 are controlled by using the control signals obtained by computing the setting condition and the setting condition after change in the CPU 3.
