PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the handleability of a device and to effectively utilize a memory in a digital composite printer provided with a facsimile function and a printer function connected with plural terminal equipments by a communication channel. SOLUTION: The digital composite printer 1 connected with plural personal computers 2 (2a, 2b and 2c) and 3 (3a, 3b and 3c) by a network 4 is provided with a terminal equipment registration means for registering the personal computers 2 and 3 for saving received facsimile reception data at the time of a facsimile function operation beforehand, a saving and storing means for selecting the storage part of the registered personal computer and saving and storing the facsimile reception data at the time of predicting that the capacity of the storage part for facsimile reception storage of the digital composite printer 1 lacks and a means for transferring the facsimile reception data saved and stored in the storage part of the personal computer to the digital composite printer 1, operating the facsimile function and outputting them at the time of detecting the end of a printer operation by the operation detection means of the printer function.
