PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of an operator by connecting a network terminal that supplies the power to a network terminal that receives the supply of power, making the latter terminal exchange the information with the former terminal via a communication line and turning on and off a power supply after deciding the necessity for the supply of power to both terminals. SOLUTION: When a power supply is turned on, a video set sends the device information on a time terminal to a TV set. A CPU 223 of a network terminal 22 stores the device information on the time terminal. At the starting time, the device information is transmitted to a network terminal 21 through a communication line via a bidirectional communication device 221. Receiving the device information from the video set, the TV set stores the device information with correspondence secured between the communication line and a power line 1 and then turns off the power supply of the video set. The terminal 21 receives the device information from the terminal 22 via a bidirectional communication device 214.
