PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a right and a left lead to project by the same length from a pedestal and thereby cut them by the same length without taking the trouble to coaxially position the main body of a capacitor and the pedestal. SOLUTION: In a chip type electrolytic capacitor 5, a pedestal 4 made of heat-resistant synthetic resin is installed on an end face on the sealing section side of the main body 1 of the capacitor which has a pair of leads 3, 3 extracted from the sealing section of a metal case 2 storing a capacitor element. The leads 3, 3 are passeed through the pedestal and are bent in the direction going away from each other along the bottom face of the pedestal 4. For the occasion of cutting the leads 3, 3, positioning pins 62 are installed to position the pedestal 4 on a specified position on a mounting area of a support table 6 mounted with the capacitor 5.
